9th grade: AP World History
10th grade: AP Seminar pared with Honors Civics (your first half of AP Capstone), any other AP course of the student's choice
11th grade: AP Research paired with AP English Language (your second half of AP Capstone), any other AP course of the student's choice
12th grade: any other AP course(s) of the student's choice

Benefits of West's AP Academy
* Ability to take an AP class your freshman year of high school
* The option to earn a College Board accredited AP Capstone Diploma or AP Capstone Certificate (less than 50 high schools in NC have met the requirements necessary to offer this program)
* Classes taught with hands-on learning and real-world application by teachers that are specially trained by College Board
* Flexible high school schedule- you have the ability to participate in a combination of AP, Community College, online, and technical classes to best suit your post-secondary goals. Some Mitchell classes are taught on West Iredell High School's campus. Student Schedule Examples
* The ability to earn tuition-free college credits while in high school
* Individualized attention and 4-year plan building to make sure the student's courses are directly aligned to their post-secondary goals.
* College prep planning with a former college admission counselor
